From surgery to the process of recovery, ensuring your pet's safety is our utmost priority.
Surgery can greatly improve your pet’s health. Receiving the news that your dog needs surgery may cause you and your family to have a lot of questions.
At Crossroads Animal Hospital, we are more than happy to ease your mind and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to keep your pet as comfortable and safe as possible throughout any procedure. We can provide a wide variety of routine and soft tissue surgeries to immensely improve your pet’s quality of life.
Before surgery, we do pre-anesthetic bloodwork to check organ function and check for underlying health problems that could put our patients at risk if anesthetized. If we detect any problems, surgery will be postponed until they are corrected.
Minimizing risk is our top priority.
During surgery, we monitor several vital signs throughout the procedure: monitoring pulse, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and temperature. It will help us to ensure our patient’s safety and comfort. We also use pet-safe warming devices before and after surgery to keep your dog cozy and warm.
Spaying and neutering for cats and dogs, lump removal surgery, cherry eye surgery, orthopedic surgery, amputations, cystotomy (bladder stone surgery), exploratory, urethrostomy, stenotic nares, elongated soft palate surgery, dental extractions, entropion eye surgery, c-section and hernia repair.
